Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to any products (“Products”) you purchase from us through our website, dalstoneggshop.com. Depending on what is offered on our website at the time, Products may be available by subscription, on a one-off basis, or both. Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. By ordering, you agree to be bound by them.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of our website and the purchase of Products.

Our VAT number is GB455258673.
1.2 You can contact us by emailing support@dalstoneggshop.com. We aim to respond to all enquiries within two business days.
2. Who can order from us
Delivery areas
2.1 We deliver within certain areas of London only. Use the postcode checker on our website to confirm whether we deliver to your address. We cannot guarantee delivery outside our covered zones.
Age
2.2 By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Your account
2.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that takes place under your account. You may not transfer or assign your account to any other person without our written consent. Please notify us immediately at support@dalstoneggshop.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Consumer and business customers
2.4 Our Products are primarily intended for personal, domestic use. We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders where we reasonably believe they are placed for commercial resale purposes without prior agreement.
3. Our Products
Product descriptions
3.1 We sell eggs, coffee, bread and other food products, as well as merchandise and other non-food products, as listed on our website from time to time. All Products are subject to availability.
Images
3.2 Images on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Products and packaging may vary slightly from those shown.
Accuracy
3.3 We publish product information in good faith and make every effort to keep it accurate. Where information is incorrect due to error or circumstances beyond our control, we may decline to process or fulfil the affected order. We will notify you and will not charge you for any Products we cannot supply.
Weights and measurements
3.4 All sizes, weights, and quantities are approximate and may vary slightly from those indicated on the website.
Availability
3.5 If a Product is unavailable after you have placed an order, we will notify you by email and arrange a full refund for any amount already paid.
Important food information
3.6 Allergen and other mandatory food information is available on the relevant product page or otherwise before checkout. Customers with allergies or intolerances are responsible for checking this information before ordering and before consuming the product.
4. Your contract with us
One-time sales
4.1 Some Products may be available to purchase on a one-off basis where this is stated on our website at the time of order.
Subscriptions
4.2 You may subscribe to receive Products on a recurring basis at a frequency of your choosing (“Subscription”). By confirming a Subscription, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method automatically at the frequency you select, until the Subscription is cancelled by either party.
4.3 We will notify you by email before each Subscription order is processed, typically 24 hours in advance.
4.4 You can skip a delivery, pause your Subscription, or cancel at any time through your account or by contacting us at support@dalstoneggshop.com.
4.5 We will try to accommodate requests to cancel or modify an order after creation where the order has not yet been processed or dispatched. Once an order is being prepared or is out for delivery, we may not be able to make changes. Please contact us as soon as possible at support@dalstoneggshop.com if you need to modify or cancel an order.
Add-on products
4.6 Subscribers may add products such as coffee, bread, merchandise or other add-on products to their Subscription, where available. These are subject to the same Terms as the rest of your order and will be charged at the prices shown at the time of adding them.
How the contract is formed
4.7 The steps to form a contract with us are as follows:
- Our website guides you through placing your order. You may review and amend your order at any stage before submitting it.
- Once your order is submitted, we will take payment from your chosen payment method. Successful payment triggers an order confirmation email confirming we have received and created your order. A binding contract between us is formed at that time.
- Delivery is complete when we deliver to the address you provided. Risk passes to you at that point.
Changes to Products and Terms
4.8 We may make minor changes to our Products or these Terms to reflect changes in law or regulation, or to correct errors.
4.9 We may also make more significant changes to Products or Terms from time to time. If we do, we will give you at least 14 days’ notice by email, and you may cancel your Subscription or any order not yet placed before the changes take effect. This does not affect any separate statutory rights you may have in relation to an order already placed.
5. Price and payment
5.1 Prices shown include VAT where applicable. The price that applies is the price displayed at the time you place your order.
5.2 Price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed by order confirmation email.
5.3 If VAT rates change between your order date and delivery, we will adjust the VAT element accordingly, unless you have already paid in full.
5.4 If a Product is incorrectly priced:
- If the correct price is lower than shown, we will charge the lower amount — unless the error was obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as a mispricing, in which case we are not obliged to sell at the incorrect price.
- If the correct price is higher than shown, we will contact you before processing the order and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel.
5.5 We accept payment by debit and credit card, including Visa and Mastercard. Payment is taken when an order is placed.
Failed payments
5.6 If a payment fails for a Subscription order, we may retry your payment method for up to 48 hours. If payment has still not been collected, we may pause, cancel or refuse that order or your Subscription. In some cases, at our discretion, we may still fulfil an order before payment has been collected and contact you separately to arrange payment or give you the opportunity to tell us that you do not want the order. This is a discretionary courtesy only and does not oblige us to fulfil any future order before payment has been received.
6. Delivery
6.1 Delivery costs will be notified to you before you place your order. Charges may vary by order size, product type, and delivery address.
6.2 We will confirm your delivery window by email or text message.
6.3 If delivery is delayed by events outside our control (for example severe weather or road closures), we will contact you promptly and take steps to minimise the delay. If there is a risk of substantial delay, you may cancel and receive a full refund for any Products paid for but not received.
6.4 If no one is available at your address, we may leave your order in a safe place or with a neighbour, where you have provided delivery instructions permitting this. Where no such instructions have been provided, or where the instructions provided are unclear, incomplete, unsuitable or impracticable, we may use our reasonable discretion to leave the order in a location or with a neighbour we consider appropriate in the circumstances. We will notify you accordingly. If we do not consider it appropriate to leave the order, we may contact you to rearrange delivery.
6.5 If you provide us with an incorrect delivery address, or the intended recipient is no longer at the address you have provided, we cannot be held responsible for any resulting loss.
6.6 You own the Products once they have been delivered to you, except where we have expressly agreed to fulfil an order before payment has been received following a failed payment, in which case ownership passes only when we have received payment in full.
7. Intellectual property
7.1 All content on our website — including text, images, photographs, graphics, logos, brand assets, product descriptions, and the overall look and feel of the site — is owned by or licensed to Pedalled Provisions Limited and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.
7.2 You may access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, publish, or commercially exploit any part of our website content without our prior written consent.
7.3 The “Dalston Egg Shop” name and logo are trading names and brand assets of Pedalled Provisions Limited. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
7.4 If you submit feedback, reviews, ideas or suggestions to us, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and publish that content for the purposes of operating and improving our services. You confirm that any feedback you submit is your own and does not infringe any third-party rights.
8. Acceptable use
8.1 You may access and use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- use our website for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- infringe our intellectual property rights or those of any third party;
- transmit any unsolicited advertising, spam, or similar material;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or related systems;
- use any automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access, copy, or extract content from our website without our prior written consent; or
- upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or any content that could damage or disrupt our website or services.
8.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached this clause.
9. Third-party services and links
9.1 Our website is hosted on Shopify’s ecommerce platform, but your purchase contract is with Pedalled Provisions Limited, not Shopify.
9.2 Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites. Accessing any third-party site is at your own risk.
9.3 We may provide access to third-party tools or integrations through our website. These are provided without warranty and your use of them is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Discounts, promotions, account credit and referrals
Promotional offers
10.1 Unless otherwise stated, promotional offers are available to new customers only and may be used once per person and per household.
10.2 Voucher codes may not be copied, resold, published on commercial voucher or coupon sites, or otherwise distributed for commercial gain without our prior written consent.
10.3 Vouchers have no cash value (subject to your statutory rights).
10.4 Unless otherwise stated, vouchers expire 12 months from the date of issue. Any unused balance is forfeited on expiry.
10.5 Where a voucher entitles you to a specified number of Products at a discounted rate, standard pricing applies once those Products have been redeemed.
10.6 We reserve the right to suspend, withdraw, amend or reject any promotional offer, discount or voucher at any time where reasonably necessary to do so, including where we reasonably suspect misuse, fraud, technical error or activity contrary to these Terms. Any such change or withdrawal will not affect discounts or benefits already validly applied or earned before the change takes effect, unless we reasonably believe abuse or error is involved.
Account credit
10.7 We may, at our discretion, apply account credit to your account in connection with promotions, referrals, service issues, refunds, goodwill gestures or otherwise.
10.8 Unless otherwise stated, account credit may only be used against future purchases from us, is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value (subject to your statutory rights).
10.9 Unless otherwise stated, account credit expires 12 months from the date it is applied to your account. Any unused balance is forfeited on expiry.
10.10 We reserve the right to withhold, cancel, adjust or reverse account credit where we reasonably suspect misuse, fraud, technical error, chargeback activity or breach of these Terms.
Referral programme
10.11 We may offer a referral programme from time to time under which an existing customer may refer a new customer to us using a referral link, code or other mechanism approved by us.
10.12 Unless otherwise stated, referral offers are available only for genuine new customers and households who have not previously placed an order with us and who satisfy any eligibility criteria stated in the relevant referral offer.
10.13 Referral links and codes are for personal, non-commercial use only. They must not be sold, exchanged, published on commercial voucher or discount sites, used for paid advertising, spammed, or otherwise distributed in a misleading, excessive or commercial manner.
10.14 A referral will only qualify where:
- the referred customer uses a valid referral link or code in the required manner;
- the referred customer places and pays for a qualifying first order; and
- the referred customer then places and pays for a qualifying second order.
10.15 Unless otherwise stated in the relevant referral offer, any referral reward, credit, discount or similar benefit for the referring customer will only be earned and issued after the referred customer has placed their second qualifying order.
10.16 A referral will not qualify, and we may withhold, cancel or reverse any related benefit, where we reasonably believe:
- the referral is a self-referral;
- the referring customer and referred customer are the same person;
- the referral has been created using multiple accounts, false details or other artificial means;
- the referral is connected to the same household, delivery address, payment card, device or account in a way that suggests abuse of the programme;
- the qualifying order is cancelled, refunded, charged back or found to be fraudulent; or
- these Terms or any stated referral conditions have otherwise been breached.
10.17 We may, at our reasonable discretion, limit the number of referrals, referral rewards or discounted orders per person, household, account, address or payment method.
10.18 We may suspend, withdraw, replace or amend the referral programme or any referral offer at any time. Any such change will not affect referral rewards already validly earned before the change takes effect, unless we reasonably believe misuse, fraud, abuse, technical error or breach of these Terms is involved.
10.19 Referral rewards, credits, discounts and similar benefits are personal to the recipient, non-transferable, non-refundable, may only be used towards eligible purchases from us, and have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, withdrawn, transferred to another person or applied retrospectively, unless we expressly state otherwise or where required by law.
10.20 Where a referral reward is issued as a discount code, the code may only be used once, unless we expressly state otherwise. If the full value of the code is not used in a single order, any unused balance will be forfeited and cannot be carried over, reissued, refunded, exchanged for cash or applied to another order.
10.21 Additional conditions may apply to a specific referral promotion. Where they do, those conditions will apply in addition to these Terms.
11. Your rights — cancellation, returns and refunds
Faulty, damaged or incorrect Products
11.1 If your Products arrive damaged, are missing items, or are otherwise not as described, please contact us at support@dalstoneggshop.com with your name, order details, and a description of the issue. Where you are entitled to a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or otherwise, we will not require you to accept account credit in place of a refund without your agreement.
Changing your mind
11.2 Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receipt. However, this right does not apply to products that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, including eggs, bread and other perishable food items. For non-perishable products, including merchandise where offered, your statutory cancellation rights will apply unless an exemption applies. This does not affect your statutory rights if the Products are faulty or not as described.
11.3 If you wish to cancel a Subscription, you may do so at any time as described in clauses 4.4 and 4.5 above.
Ending the contract because of something we have done
11.4 You have the right to end the contract if:
- we have told you about a change to the Products or these Terms that you do not accept;
- there is an error in the price or description of your order that you do not wish to proceed with;
- supply is likely to be substantially delayed due to events outside our control;
- we suspend supply for technical reasons for more than 14 days; or
- you have a legal right to end the contract because of something we have done wrong.
11.5 To end the contract for any of the above reasons, please email support@dalstoneggshop.com with your name, address, and order details. We will end the contract immediately and refund you in full for any Products paid for but not received.
Refund processing
11.6 All refunds will be made to your original payment method as soon as reasonably practicable, and no later than 14 days after we agree a refund is due.
12. Our liability
12.1 We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our failure to comply with these Terms or to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if it was discussed between us at the time the contract was made.
12.2 We do not exclude or limit our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
12.3 Consumer customers: We supply our Products for personal, domestic use. If you use Products for any commercial or business purpose, our liability to you for any resulting business losses (including loss of profit, revenue, contracts, or goodwill) is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12.4 Business customers: Where we have agreed to supply Products to you as a business customer, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or in connection with the contract shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the order(s) to which the claim relates. We exclude all liability for indirect or consequential losses to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Alternative dispute resolution
13.3 If we are unable to resolve a complaint through our internal complaints process, we may provide you with details of an appropriate certified alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider and let you know whether or not we are willing to use ADR in relation to your complaint.
Entire agreement
13.4 These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of our website and purchase of Products, and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings between us.
Transferring this contract

Third-party rights
13.6 This contract is between you and us only. No third party has any right to enforce any term of this contract.
Severability
13.7 If any court or authority finds any part of these Terms unlawful, the remaining Terms continue in full force.
Waiver
13.8 If we do not enforce a right under these Terms immediately, that does not mean we have waived that right. We may still enforce it later.
Changes to these Terms
13.9 We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at dalstoneggshop.com/policies/terms-of-service. Any updated Terms will apply to orders placed after the effective date of those changes. If we make a material change that affects your Subscription, we will notify you before it takes effect, and you may cancel your Subscription before the change applies.
